Questions, answered

The things people ask most about ordering, proofs, fitting and delivery.

Ordering and proofs

How does ordering personalised lettering work?

Pick the product, size and colour, type your wording into the boxes and check out. We lay your lettering out and email you a proof. You approve it or ask for changes, and nothing is cut until you say yes.

Can I change my wording after I've ordered?

Yes, until you approve your proof. Reply to the proof email or ask for changes on your order page and we'll send a new proof.

Can I use my own logo or a custom design?

Yes. Upload your logo on the van lettering, door lettering or rear door lettering pages, or order it as printed logo stickers. A one-colour logo is cut with your lettering at no extra cost; a full-colour one is printed and laminated for a set price per size. A vector file (PDF, AI, EPS or SVG) is ready to use; a PNG or JPG needs redrawing for £50, because it has no cut line. For full wraps or anything bigger, get in touch and we'll quote for it separately.

Do you take discount codes?

Yes. Add your code on the checkout page, after you press Checkout in your basket.

How do I pay?

Checkout is handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Sizes, colours and materials

Which size should I pick?

Measure the flat area of the panel you want to letter, avoiding handles, trims, deep curves and rubbing strips. Choose the size that fits inside it with a little room to spare. Sizes on each product are the overall panel size, width by height.

What material do you use?

Lettering and security stickers are cut from vehicle-grade self-adhesive vinyl. Chevron kits use high-visibility reflective material, and the frequent stops sign is printed and laminated.

The colour on my screen looks different to the vinyl.

Screens vary, so swatches are a guide. If an exact colour match matters, contact us before ordering.

Fitting

Is it hard to fit myself?

Not if you take your time. Each piece comes on application tape, so the letters stay exactly where they should be. Clean the panel, tape it in place, peel and squeegee. Our fitting guide goes through it step by step, and there's a printable PDF version to keep by the van.

What do I need to fit it?

Isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth for cleaning, masking tape, a tape measure, a squeegee or a credit card wrapped in a soft cloth, and a sharp craft knife for trimming.

Can I fit it in the cold?

Fit above 10C, out of direct sun and wind, on a dry panel. Below that the adhesive doesn't grab properly. A garage helps in winter.

Will it damage my paintwork?

Vehicle vinyl is made to go on and come off factory paint. Removing it later with gentle heat usually leaves the paint as it was. Resprayed or damaged paint can lift, so test a small area first if your van has had paintwork done.

Delivery and returns

How long will it take?

Stock items are dispatched within the lead time shown on the product, counted from your order. Personalised items are dispatched within the same time from when you approve your proof. Then it's Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Where do you deliver?

UK mainland addresses only. We can't currently send to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or outside the UK.

Can I return it?

Unused stock items can be returned within 14 days. Personalised items are made to your wording, so we can't take them back if you change your mind, but if anything arrives damaged or we've made a mistake we'll replace it.
