Who we are

OFFKUT is a trading name of Ctrl Alt Elite Studio Ltd. Registered in Wales, company no. 17140083. Ctrl Alt Elite Studio Ltd is the data controller for the details you give us through this shop, by email or by phone. Registered office: 33 Birch Grove, Henllys, Cwmbran, NP44 6EP. What we collect

When you order

Your name, delivery address, email and phone number (collected on the secure checkout page), what you ordered, and the wording you type for personalised items. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

When you approve a proof or get in touch

Your messages and any changes you ask for, and your name, email and order number if you use the contact form.

Where you came from

With an order we also send the page you first landed on, the site that sent you (if any) and any campaign tags in the link you clicked, such as a Google Ads click ID or UTM tags.

When you browse

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.

Why we use it

• To make and deliver your order, send your proof, and handle returns and questions (performing our contract with you).
• To keep records such as invoices and accounts, which the law requires (legal obligation).
• To see which ads work, by matching an order to the campaign that brought you here (legitimate interests: not wasting money on ads that don't work). It never decides anything about you.
• To keep the shop safe, through fraud checks at payment and security logs (legitimate interests).

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to, and we don't use your details for automated decisions about you.

Who else sees it

Only the companies that help us run things, each under contract to look after it and use it only for us:

• Website hosting (Vercel).
• Our order system and database (run by Ctrl Alt Elite Studio Ltd on Supabase).
• Payments (Stripe).
• Email (Google Workspace) and email delivery services.
• Royal Mail, to deliver your order.
• Our accountants and accounting software.

Some of these providers store data outside the UK, mainly in the EU and the US. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy rules or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We'll also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Orders: 6 years after the end of the financial year the order falls in, because tax law says so.
• Messages that don't lead to an order: deleted within 2 years of the last time we spoke.
• Browser storage: as listed below.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you and send you a copy, correct anything that's wrong, delete it, stop or limit using it, object to how we use it, or send it to you or someone else in a usable format. Email hello@offkut.co.uk. It's free, and we'll reply within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies and browser storage

This shop doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies. It keeps two small things in your browser that it needs to work. The secure checkout page is run by Stripe, which sets its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
